The Concert Band presents passionate players the opportunity to be part of a large community ensemble and performs 6-8 concerts each season. These include concerts at their home location, Nathan Hale High School, and various community performances throughout the Milwaukee area.
Comprised primarily 60 woodwind, brass, and percussion players, the Concert Band performs a wide variety of literature. While the wind ensemble is historically a more recent medium of classical performance, the Concert Band performs both newer works and older orchestral transcriptions. The music is occasionally themed and balanced with classical and popular numbers to both entertain and educate the audience.
The ensemble is led by conductor and music director Kelly Schultz.
